Shahid may shoot in Pakistan

In exciting news for his Pakistani fans, Shahid Kapoor could be shooting in Pakistan for a Mira Nair film, Aaj TV channel reported today (October 22).

According to the Pakistani channel, noted Indian film director Mira Nair is planning to make a movie based on Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid's second novel 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'.

The yet-to-be-named film is expected to be shot in Pakistan. But it is not yet clear whether the necessary permissions have been sought for this purpose. The interior ministry and foreign ministry on both sides of the border have to be involved if any such project has to go ahead , the TV channel said quoting unnamed sources.

Shahid Kapoor, the channel reported, has not signed the contract yet but has shown interest in reading the script and is also excited about working with US-based Mira Nair, who has won critical acclaim for her off-beat films. Her 'Salaam Bombay' in 1988 was shortlisted for the Academy Award in the category of best foreign film.

Mohsin, a Harvard-educated law graduate, is based in London and has won acclaim for his incisive and engaging writings. He shot to fame with his first novel 'Moth Smoke' in 2000. 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' was published in 2007 and soon become an instant best-seller.

Earlier, Mahesh Bhatt had also planned to shoot his film 'Mandi' while Shah Rukh-starrer 'Veer Zara' was also supposed to be shot partly in Pakistan but the plans had to be shelved because of administrative hassles.

The story of 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' revolves around a Pakistani man who lets go of his life of fame in America after a failed love affair and the 9/11 terror attack. The novel was translated in more than 25 languages, won the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award and was also shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.

With a dying Pakistani film industry that produces hardly a handful of movies in Urdu, Punjabi and Pushto languages each year, Indian movies are a rage in Pakistan.

The release of Indian movies allowed in Pakistan a couple of years ago after a break of more than 40 years has also helped to bring the general public back to cinema houses.

Shahid says no to Ranbir

He loves dancing and would have loved to join Ranbir Kapoor for his first world tour, but Shahid Kapoor's prior commitments won't allow him to participate in the event.

"Shahid is being repeatedly offered to be a part of the world tour with Ranbir. But due to his 'Mausam' release and Sajid Khan's film shoot he has declined the offer," said Shahid's spokesperson.

When contacted, Mohammed Morani of Cineyug, which is organising Ranbir's world tour, said: "Yes, it's true that we have approached Shahid Kapoor to be a part of the world tour, but we are still awaiting his reply. Most probably he will say yes. The tour will take place June-July 2011."

Shahid's known for his hit numbers like 'Dil vich lagya ve' ('Chup Chup Ke'), 'Mauja hi mauja' ('Jab We Met'), and 'Dhan Te Naan' ('Kaminey').

Shahid's success has made him a heartthrob and he enjoys a huge fan following. Many feel that if the two Kapoors team up for the stage show, it can create a sensation, said an insider.

Right now Shahid is shooting for his father Pankaj Kapoor's directorial debut 'Mausam'.

World tours, of course, are all about stars. For instance, during Amitabh Bachchan's 'Unforgettable' concert, stars like Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Madhuri Dixit had joined him at different places besides his son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya.

Earlier, Shah Rukh had teamed up with Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Arjun Rampal, Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra for his 'Temptation' world tour.

For Ranbir's tour, Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif are said to be on board.

Bollywood stands united for Ayodhya verdict

As the nation awaits the Ayodhya-Babri Masjid verdict today (September 30), B'wood stars have taken to Twitter and their blogs to appeal for peace and harmony regardless of the judgment.

Shahid Kapoor: "Let's be peaceful, let's be together... Let's be mature, let's learn to be the bigger person, see the larger picture ... and prove that above all .. WE ARE INDIAN."

Big B wrote on his blog, "There has never been such a strong demonstration by the media and by all concerned on the need to keep a balance in whatever the circumstances. Patience and will shall be on test."

Sonam Kapoor: "Remember, united we stand and divided we fall. Love and brotherhood has made our country strong, don't give that up."

Riteish Deshmukh: "United India is the religion I follow - Stay one - Be one - Let's show that we are a ONE-derful Country."

Fardeen Khan wrote: "India's greatest strength lies in its unity and today is a true test of that. Let's confront the Ayodhya issue in the spirit of understanding, tolerance, love and respect. If we do achieve that then we will be able to look back and proudly say that yes India is truly shining - Jai Hind."

Anupam Kher: "I am in Toronto, but my heart is in India. Let NO court verdict spoil our togetherness. Let us be ONE. Let us be INDIANS."

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar wrote on his Twitter page, "Let's not mutiliate 30-9-10 over 6-12-92. Religion is about peace and love, lets not make it about hate and violence!!!"

R. Madhavan: "Big Day today for all of us. I am not concerned which way the verdict goes. I Demand that not one more innocent suffers because of this. Need to defy the expected and react to the Verdict with maturity and restraint. Let's surprise ourselves and the world. I pray for peace and Harmony. Whatever the verdict."

Jewellery designer Farah Khan: "The Ayodhya verdict will not decide whether a temple or a mosque be built there. The verdict is going to decide who the land belongs to. In the sense who is the legal tenant of the 2.67 acres that is under dispute."

"Hopefully once that is sorted both communities can come together and put their differences aside for God does not ask for houses of worship to be built in his name. He owns the universe."

Prime Minister Manhmohan Singh and many other leaders have also appealed for peace and harmony in the nation ahead of the verdict by the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on the Babri Masjid-Ramjanmabhoomi issue.

Priyanka-Ranbir kiss bothers Shahid?

The exact status of the Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra relationship is still unclear - neither party is talking. But Sasha might be feeling like the jealous boyfriend after watching Prinks' intimate scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Anjaana Anjaani'. Buzz is that the movie has PC and RK sharing two kisses, and they're not of the quick-peck-on-the-cheek type.

'Anjaana Anjaani' is about how two strangers get closer through their circumstances, and it seems that director Siddharth Malhotra wanted to have the kisses between his lead pair to show how close they become in the course of the movie. The intimate scenes were not part of the initial script.

It seems that Shahid doesn't even want to watch the movie now. And he doesn't want to talk openly about his realtionship with Priyanka either. This, despite the fact that he dropped her off at the airport when she left for Brazil to shoot 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', and they watched 'Dabangg' together at a theatre in Mumbai.

So what's going to be the next chapter in this story? Watch this space for updates.

Spotted: Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor made an appearance together to watch a night show of Dabangg at an Andheri multiplex on Monday.

The couple arrived in separate cars. As soon as she came, Shasha zoomed in.

He refused to look up and headed straight for the auditorium. The actress was carrying a backpack was a picnic to follow the screening?

Admit it, Shahid, Priyanka!

A month ago, Shahid Kapoor was spotted dropping Priyanka Chopra to the airport when she was leaving for Brazil.

And now, the duo were spotted together arriving for a film screening in Mumbai lately. But as soon as they got to know that there are shutterbugs around, they walked in separately to avoid getting clicked together. C'mon guys, time to open up!

Sequel to Ishq Vishk?

Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor will co-star in an upcoming Ishq Vishk sequel

Word on the B-Town street is that after Kaminey, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor are coming together again in a sequel to Shahid's debut film Ishq Vishk. The original featured Amrita Rao in the lead along with Shaks and was directed by Ken Ghosh.

Says an insider, "Producer Ramesh Taurani wants to make a sequel to Ishq Vishk with Shahid and Priyanka. Everything is under wraps as Taurani doesn't want the director of the original to know about his plans. Taurani is currently garnering finance for the film. Ghosh won't direct the sequel."

Ishq Vishk 2 will have director Anubhav Sinha's wife Ratna at the helm. Ratna has previously directed music videos. "Talks are on with the lead pair. It's a fresh romance and very different from what PC and Shaks did in Kaminey. The film will be shot before Race 2," adds the source.

However, Ramesh says, "I have liked one of Ratna Sinha's scripts but I am not planning a sequel to Ishq Vishk."

Ken says, "I have no idea about a sequel to my film. It's too late to do a sequel now. After Ishq Vishk became a hit we had toyed with the idea of making a sequel but couldn't get a good script so we discarded the idea."

Priyanka-Shahid have a late night date

He drove her to the airport as she left to shoot 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' in Brazil

Looks like Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor have gotten back together again, even though they're not ready to come out in the open about it. Sasha has already made the classic boyfriend gesture - he drove PC to the airport in his car as she left for a trip.

All this unfolded at Mumbai airport on August 17, where Shahid was spotted in his distinctive black Range Rover, leaving Priyanka to catch her flight to Brazil, where she'll be shooting for the reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Of course Shahid didn't want the media to spot him, so as soon as they did he made a run (or a drive) for it, leaving Priyanka a little further from her exact destination at the aiport.

Priyanka is going to be gone a month, and we think that was way too long for Sasha, so he decided to spend some quality time with her on the way to the airport. But if he can do something that screams 'We're in a relationship' like leaving her to the airport, we think we might just get to see more open declarations. Watch this space for updates.

Shahid wants to watch Sonam's 'I Hate Luv Storys'

Back from shooting for 'Mausam' in Scotland, he shares his to-do list

Shahid Kapoor, who is back in the city after a hectic schedule in Scotland for 'Mausam', wants to catch his co-star Sonam Kapoor's 'I Hate Luv Storys'.

"Yeah I want to see Sonam's film and all the other films that I've missed while I was away," said Shahid.

Talking about his two months in Edinburgh, he said: "Shooting in Edinburgh was like a dream. The place was so beautiful, I felt I was transported to paradise.

"And then being directed by dad was a dream come true. He is like an encyclopaedia of acting. I've learnt so much in the last one month. I tried to absorb as much as I could," said Shahid.

He missed his mom and kid-brother like crazy during the shooting abroad.

"In fact, I wanted my brother to come over to Scotland. But kids that age have their own life and commitments," said Shahid sounding every inch the concerned big brother.

Now until the next schedule of 'Mausam', in Punjab, the actor will be with his mom and brother.

"Not just mom and my brother, but my closest friend Sri also. He stays in Bangalore. I've invited him over to Mumbai to spend time with me, my brother and mom. I'm now going to catch up on all the films that I missed while I was gone," said Shahid.

Shahid, Priyanka are back

Wonders never cease in Bollywood. But this one is likely to blow you away. It seems actor Shahid Kapoor has not only patched up with his ex-girlfriend Priyanka Chopra, but even Mubina Rattonsey, the executive producer of Kaminey, whose closeness to the actor was supposedly one of the reasons that caused the Shahid-Priyanka split.

On Thursday night, as the three walked in together in a 5-star hotel in Juhu, heads turned and many knowing glances were exchanged by diners. A few minutes later, the three settled down for a cosy meal. “Priyanka hardly ate much as she had damaged her vocal cords and lost her voice , but she quite seemed to enjoy Shahid’s company. Shahid was equally engaging,” says a source.

“Shahid, Priyanka and Mubina looked very happy in each other’s company. They came and left together. They were in the hotel for nearly two hours,” adds the source. In the course of the evening, when the actor spotted actress Tabu seated a few tables away, he walked up to her and the two exchanged pleasantries.

Shahid and Mubina became close during the making of Kaminey, which also starred Priyanka. When the two actors broke up subsequently, it was reported that Priyanka had discovered that certain comments about Shahid that she had shared with Mubina were reaching him.

The actress is said to have confronted Mubina soon after, but the latter denied that she had any role to play in the matter. But when this continued, Priyanka simply decided to put a distance between her and Mubina.

Today, however, it all seems a thing of the past.

Shahid flies a Tornado

Pilots the combat aircraft while shooting on location in Edinburgh

On Tuesday, Shahid Kapoor flew a Tornado battle aircraft at the Royal Airforce airbase in Leuchars near Edinburgh while shooting for his father's Mausam. Shahid plays an airforce officer in the film.

Director Pankaj Kapur felt that shooting on a restricted airbase area on a real plane would considerably enhance the authenticity of the aerial shots considering the hero is an air force officer. Shahid trained to fly a plane before shooting began.

A Tornado aircraft getting ready for take-off

The whole stint was completed in half a day with utmost caution and discretion. Permission to shoot at the strictly prohibited airbase was obtained after much persuasion and pulling of strings.

Says a source from the unit, "At first, we somehow managed to get permission to shoot at the airbase. Then we got greedy and we wanted Shahid to actually fly the Tornado. That was tougher than we thought."

The shoot at the Edinburgh airbase will now be incorporated into the sequences that would be shot later in August at an airforce base near Hyderabad.

Who's the right girl for Shahid?

Shahid Kapoor got some gyaan on who'd be the right girl for him from some unexpected people recently. But considering that the people were his younger brother and sister, Sasha took it all in the right spirit.

Shahid posted on his Twitter page, "I just took my brother n sis out for dinner. They were lecturing me on what kind of girl is right for me... was confused thought i was the oldest."

So has his family joined the search for the right girl? Shahid didn't share the discussion that followed, but we wonder if certain co-stars of his were mentioned. After all, Priyanka Chopra has been saying that she wants to settle down with a nice Punjabi guy some years down the line!

MOVIE REVIEW: Milenge Milenge

Freshly cooked, piping hot food is savoured instantly. Similarly, a film that radiates freshness catches your eye instantaneously. Conversely, if a film takes a really long time to hit the screens, it generally doesn't find a place in your things-to-do-this-weekend list, unless the word of mouth is electrifying. MILENGE MILENGE suffers for this reason. Even the man on the street knows that it's a dated product!

The gap between the commencement of this film and its eventual release is quite substantial and that's pretty evident when you look at its promos. Especially the way the lead actors look. The camera doesn't lie, right? Perhaps, that's a prime reason why MILENGE MILENGE doesn't propel you to rush to a nearby cineplex and grab a seat, despite the fact that its lead stars are at the prime of their respective careers and enjoy a solid fan-base.

But never judge a book by its cover. Sure, you march into the film with zilch expectations, expecting a dated product with a hackneyed plotline, but as the reels begin to unspool, you realize that it does have a story to tell. So what if MILENGE MILENGE borrows from the John Cusack - Kate Beckinsale starrer SERENDIPITY [2001]. The Indianisation by writer Shiraz Ahmed is quite engaging at places.

The 'recipe' for that perfect love story is simple [at least that's what most film-makers believe]: Cast a good looking pair, choose a tried-and-tested story [read, make a mix of EK DUUJE KE LIYE, Q.S.Q.T., MAINE PYAAR KIYA, D.D.L.J., KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI], garnish it with sweet/cute/romantic/delightful situations, add a couple of energetic songs [at least two/three Hit songs are a must] and shoot the muvie at panaromic locales. Presto, prem kahani tayyar ho gayee!

But MILENGE MILENGE has 'kismet' keeping the lovers apart. Imagine a love story where the lovers have already expressed love for each other, but some force beyond their control gets in their way and keeps them apart till the end of the film. The script indulges in bringing its leads together, but also makes sure that they stay far away from each other till minutes before the film is about to conclude. Sure, this thought sounds interesting on paper, but there's a flipside to it. With Facebook, Twitter, Google and also cellphones at one's disposal, is it difficult to trace anyone in today's times? Naah, not anymore!

Final word? MILENGE MILENGE may be dated, but watch it for the chemistry between its lead pair. Perhaps, this JAB WE MET jodi may never team up ever again!

Immy [Shahid Kapoor] and Priya [Kareena Kapoor] meet at a youth festival in Bangkok. Priya is a romantic at heart and expects her life partner to be a teetotaler, a guy who doesn't smoke and also, who doesn't lie. Immy is totally opposite of what Priya wants from her life partner. Their world collides when Immy lays his hands on Priya's personal diary and learns of her likes and dislikes. He poses as her dream mate by giving her a totally different picture of himself.

While preparing to return to Delhi, Priya discovers the copy of her diary in Immy's room. She realizes that Immy has made a fool of her and decides to confront him. In the meantime, Immy confides in his friends that although he has cheated Priya, he is truly in love with her. But Priya appears in front of him and all hell breaks loose. She decides to end the relationship.

Immy tries to regain her trust by telling her that they are destined to be together. Priya decides that if it is destined that they be together, then they will find each other in Delhi again, although both do not know each other's whereabouts in Delhi. Three years later, Immy returns from abroad, while Priya is now settled in Mumbai. Immy is engaged to a family friend's daughter [Aarti Chhabria], while Priya has also moved on in life. She is in a relationship with a pop singer.

Both of them are about to be married, but after all these years, they still have this nagging feeling that the other was his/her true love. Of course, fate conspires to bring them back together [after several near misses] as they simultaneously undertake one last attempt to find one another just before they get married to someone else.

MILENGE MILENGE starts off like one of those countless love stories, with mandatory songs and lovey-dovey scenes aplenty, but the twist minutes before the interval is so well executed that it suddenly raises the bar of the film. Naturally then, you expect the post-interval portions to charter a new path.

The second half has its share of engaging moments, but, very frankly, it tends to get repetitive and melodramatic as well. The entire track of a particular Rs. 50 currency note and the book with Kareena's name and phone number on it, although novel, hasn't been portrayed too effectively. Even the finale -- when Shahid reaches out to Kareena -- isn't convincing. Like I pointed out earlier, what binds the film together is the chemistry between the lead pair and a few charming moments.

Satish Kaushik's handling of a few sequences is commendable. Himesh Reshammiya's musical score is quite good. 'Kuch To Baaki Hai' and the title track are good compositions. Cinematography is okay.

Both Shahid and Kareena play the hopeless romantics to the hilt. Their [then] off screen chemistry comes across very well on screen. Although the film was shot several years ago and Shahid looks boyish all through, his performance is consistent and believable. Kareena is equally convincing. Aarti Chhabria has nothing to do. Delnaaz Paul [Kareena's friend] and Sarfaraz Khan [Shahid's friend] get ample scope and are noticeable. Satish Shah is hardly funny. Kirron Kher sparkles in a brief role. Himani Shivpuri is wasted.

On the whole, MILENGE MILENGE has the charismatic lead pair, who are very popular with the youth, as its USP. But the problem is its dated look. Having taken a long time to reach the theatres, it will have to rely on a solid word of mouth to lure the audiences into cineplexes. Business-wise, there's some hope in the Hindi belt, where traditional love stories and melodrama are accepted.

Shahid's mystery trip to London

With Sonam Kapoor heading for Mumbai for the promotion and release of her new film 'I Hate Luv Storys', shooting for 'Mausam' in Edinburgh slackened up a bit.

The hero Shahid Kapoor, who also happens to be the director's son, decided to take off for a three-day visit to nearby London. Only father Pankaj Kapoor knew about Shahid's whereabouts while the rest of the unit was kept in the dark about his visit.

Though Shahid maintained before her departure that Pankaj Kapoor had planned solo sequences with him while waiting for Sonam to return, the fact is that the unit was left with very little to do after Sonam's fleeting return to Mumbai which was planned well in advance.

"Shahid didn't have much shooting to do once Sonam left. So he took off for a secret holiday to London for four days," a source said.

A co-actor from the unit let the cat out of the bag. He said: "I don't know what Shahid told others. But the truth is, without Sonam there was little he could do for the camera. 'Mausam' is a love story and 90 percent of the time their scenes are together. With Sonam gone Shahid left for London. For what, we don't know."

Apparently on his return, Shahid was teased mercilessly about his "secret rendezvous".

Who with, Shahid isn't telling.

Who stunned Shahid?

Plus he talks about who's looking after him in Scotland

Shahid Kapoor says he was left stunned by his father Pankaj Kapoor's performance in the comedy 'Happi'.

"Saw some footage of dad's next as an actor called 'Happi... Just stunned with what I saw... Amazed at how he creates a new person with every role he does," Shahid posted on his Twitter page.

'Happi' is being directed by Bhavna Talwar who had cast the veteran actor in her debut movie 'Dharm'.

Shahid is currently shooting for his dad's directorial debut 'Mausum' in Edinburgh with Sonam Kapoor.

"I feel like I'm looked after by dad... No better feeling both as an actor and a son," he wrote.

B.O. update: 'Badmaash Company' starts off very well

Badmaash Company After HOUSE FULL opened to an excellent start last week, it was the turn of BADMAASH COMPANY to open to a heartening start at the box-office. Shahid Kapoor's last major release CHANCE PE DANCE [not counting PAATHSHAALA] had fetched a below average start, so it was imperative that BADMAASH COMPANY fetch a good start at the ticket window. The opening numbers of BADMAASH COMPANY were an impressive 80% to 90% at places, while at places it ranged from 45% to 75%, which only improved towards the evening shows.

The opening weekend of BADMAASH COMPANY is expected to be better, given the fact that the film has tremendous youth appeal and that in turn should witness an escalation in business. Overall, the film should have a very good weekend, which reinforces Yash Raj and Shahid's pull at the ticket window.

The second release of the week, IT'S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE, had a disastrous start at the box-office. The opening was in 5% to 10% range and since the reports are terrible, the numbers are not expected to show a major jump on Saturday and Sunday.

MOVIE REVIEW: Badmaash Company

Actor turned debutante director Parmeet Sethi made a startling confession on my show, a few days ago. He said, he had completed the entire script, with dialogue, in six days flat. I was apprehensive initially, but not once does BADMAASH COMPANY give you the feeling that it's a hurried job or the debutante writer-director, in a bid to start his first film, had left blanks incomplete.

The earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed. The adage holds true for the youth of today, who wish to attain the riches overnight and take an easy route/shortcut to climb the ladder of success. Just when you start thinking that you've conquered it all, that you're God, a stroke of bad luck brings you back to Ground Zero, to experience the harsh realities of life.

Parmeet walks the tight rope of handling a complex subject and offering entertainment simultaneously, in his very first film. To his credit, the film has several poignant and enjoyable moments that catch you by complete surprise. While the film has it all -- the writing has the power to keep the viewer hooked -- the film has a handicap in the form of its second hour, especially the penultimate 25-odd minutes.

Let me specify! With a running time of approx. 2.30 hours, the extra footage in the end -- Shahid and friends trying to salvage his uncle's business -- only adds to the length of the enterprise. Ideally, the film should've ended when the friends forgive each other and shake hands, after a series of personal and professional setbacks.

Final word? BADMAASH COMPANY is a decent attempt, with several captivating moments and power-packed performances by each and every member of its cast. We often grudge that entertainment-laden films make no sense these days, but this one entertains and also makes sense. Watch it!

BADMAASH COMPANY is set in the 1990s in middle class Mumbai, of four ordinary youngsters [Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Meiyang Chang and Vir Das], who came together to start an import business of things longed for by yuppie Indians. What made their venture such a stupendous success was the fact that they found a way to beat the system and soon became the undisputed kings in their business, realizing their one dream of making quick money is by doing all the wrong things the right way.

Living the life of champagne wishes and caviar dreams, the four friends discover that to make a business successful, you don't need big money. All you need is a big idea. All is well and hunky dory till one day the four maverick entrepreneurs are forced to shut shop.

The best thing about BADMAASH COMPANY is that you identify with the mindset of those who aspire to reach the pinnacle of success using shortcuts. The scams and the con games the youth indulge in are easy to decipher and least complicated, which works in its favour. Another strong point is the camaraderie that the four actors share on screen. The film would've fallen flat if the chemistry was missing, but the bonding looks so real that you forget that they are merely enacting those roles.

BADMAASH COMPANY has some terrific moments. The sequences in Bangkok are enjoyable. Ditto for the showdown between the friends in the post-interval hour. The transformation in Shahid's persona is also beautifully depicted. But, like I pointed out at the outset, the second hour tends to get repetitive and the penultimate 25-odd minutes are a strict no-no.

Pritam's music is foot-tapping and almost every song has been filmed very well. Sanjay Kapoor's cinematography is just right.

Every actor puts his best foot forward in BADMAASH COMPANY. Shahid gets it right yet again. It wouldn't be erroneous to say that this is amongst his finest works. Watch him blow his lid in the restaurant sequence and also in another sequence, when he meets a pregnant Anushka. He is confidence personified in those sequences.

Anushka is a revelation. She looks stunning, her performance is livewire and the chemistry with Shahid is electrifying. Strangely, she took a backseat after her debut in RAB NE BANADI JODI, but BADMAASH COMPANY will bring her back in public eye. Vir Das is another surprise. He's in terrific form here. The film marks the 'birth' of another talent -- Meiyang Chang -- who adds a lot of freshness and zing to his character. Anupam Kher is wonderful. Kiran Juneja makes her presence felt. Pawan Malhotra is extremely likeable.

On the whole, BADMAASH COMPANY is a watchable experience for various reasons, the prime reason being it offers solid entertainment, but doesn't insult your intelligence. Recommended!
