Rab Di Kudi Anushka missing

It is no secret that Anuskha Sharma, who was launched by the Yash Raj banner in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite SRK was under a contract with the production house for three films. What those other two films were going to be and how long would she be kept under wraps is still something we are trying to figure out.

With RNBDJ, she came, she showed, and she conquered, to immediately vanish into oblivion, unlike the other girls like Deepika and Sonam who are constantly hogging attention with the several endorsements they take up or the events they grace.

While it has been learnt that Anushka is doing another film for the Yash Raj banner, with Shahid Kapoor, the film is yet untitled. News has just filtered in that she has signed a film opposite Akshay Kumar for Nikhil Advani. The film is called Patiala House.

Nikhil spoke to the media about his new film, ‘It’s a father-son story. The son gives up his dream to save his father’s reputation which is at stake, later he meets a girl who gives him the strength to stand up for what he believes. It’s about second chances.’

Anuskha seems fated to give guys a second chance, like she did with SRK in RNBDJ. Rishi Kapoor is playing the role of the father, a role he has mastered with Akshay, when the two appeared in Namastey London together and cracked their scenes with their chemistry as father-in-law and son.

Patiala House we would like to go to, if not for Akki, atleast to see what Anuskha serves to her guests, and we’re not talking about the famous Peg here!

Anushka Sharma wants to finish YRF flick to break free of her contract

Anushka Sharma is presently shooting for Parmeet Sethi's yet untitled directorial debut opposite Shahid Kapoor. This is her second film with Yash Raj Films after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. She has signed an exclusive three-film contract with YRF, which prohibits her from signing any films with other banners.

Sources reveal that Anushka is getting restless and wants the contract to end soon so she can take on more work.

Shahid and Anushka are presently shooting in Hyderabad. Parmeet is making sure there are no delays whatsoever with the shoot. In a closed door meeting with the director, the actress expressed her desire to wrap up the schedule for this movie as soon as possible."

After the Hyderabad schedule, the unit shifts to the US. Says an insider, "Parmeet plans to finish the film without any break. It also works for Anushka, who plans to get straight into her third and final film with the banner, as soon as this one wraps."

Anushka was approached by a few directors but she couldn't sign any films as she was bound by the contract.
When contacted, her spokesperson said, "Anushka is happy with her Yashraj contract. She is free to do films outside the banner. She dislikes talking about projects that are in the pipeline and will talk about them when they hit the floor."
