After playing a series of disturbed and unstable characters, Kangna is set to play a path-breaking journalist in Mani Shankar’s next film.

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan. They play government agents from different backgrounds that unite to raise Rs. 32,000 crores in two hours. For the first time, she is playing a confident character who isn’t mentally or emotionally disturbed. Kangna will be chopping off her thick mane of curly hair for the role, to look like Barkha Dutt. She has a lot of stylist and designer friends whom she will consult for her look. She wants the role to be fresh and different. Preity Zinta’s hairstyle in Lakshya got her a lot of flak. Kangna doesn’t want any flak so she is paying attention to detail. She hopes Barkha will be proud of her performance as she is such an inspiration for many aspiring journalists.”
