Tied up with her film shoots, Mugdha Godse has had no time to look around and decide on a new pair of wheels. The Fashion actress had met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on May 5 that left her car in a mess.
As Mugdha is on a tight schedule shooting for a long schedule of Rohit Shetty's All The Best (in Goa) and Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail (in Mumbai), she spends time between shots leafing through auto magazines. This apart, several of her close pals are advising her on the best deals.
Mugdha was in Mumbai for the last couple of days, shooting for Jail. To make the most of it, she made a list of potential buys and called up the selected car company folk to arrive at her various shoot locations for test drives!
She says, "There is no way out. I am helpless without a car and have to be dependent on friends and unit cars to take me around. Every day, a different vehicle would arrive on the sets and unit folk would wonder what I was up to!"
As the model-turned-actress is superstitious, she does not want to repair her damaged car. "I have been told that it will take at least two to three months to get it done. I'd rather scrap it. Once a car has received a jolt, then some problem or the other keeps on happening to it. Moreover, it had also caused me a neck injury. So I would rather scrap it."
Mugdha admits that she was not so clued in to cars. "I have already checked out seven models and will soon be making up my mind on what to settle for; it's mostly a SUV. I keep on buying auto mags to check out what the latest and the best buys are. In the last few weeks, I have been clued in about the vehicles and also their technical stuff. I have become a self-learnt car enthusiast now!"
